2009  
  July   LFWC sponsors the Pewaukee Triathlon and offers free massage to all triathletes.  Nine people represented LFWC this year including staff, spouses, and friends.  Tyler Loomis, staff psychotherapist captained a relay team with his wife Kash, and friend, Jarod.  The team ranked 8th among relay teams.  Dr. Johnson, husband Dale, and Roz formed a second relay team.  Dr. Sonya Trueblood and Dr. Piering signed up to compete individually this year.  Go TEAM! 
  June   Staff psychotherapist Jackie Landers attends training in Boston to learn how to become certified as a yoga instructor/psychotherapist.  This innovative training will allow LFWC to offer specialty yoga for clients who suffer from disorders like anxiety, depression, and PTSD.  This yoga will incorporate guided visual imagery, mindfulness training, and therapeutic instruction.
  April   Our first sessions of yoga begin.
  March   STAFF ADDITION Kelly Brath, Certified Massage Therapist, is our first pick for massage therapist. She comes with a wide breadth of training, strong arms, and laid-back personality.

STAFF ADDITION Cynthia Stark, certified yoga instructor joins our team with extensive experience as a teacher. Cynthia offers Hatha Yoga and Christian Yoga to LFWC clients and the community.

STAFF ADDITION Keeci Sjoberg is hired as our marketing consultant. Keeci’s innovative ideas and enthusiasm are needed to launch our Body Wellness Programs.

 
  January   BODY WELLNESS PROGRAMS BEGIN  One of the foundations goals of LFWC was to implement adjunct programs to our core mental health programs.  Dr. Johnson launches our sport psychology, massage, and yoga programs!  The yoga studio and massage therapy rooms are ready to go!

  STAFF ADDITION LFWC announces our new office manager, Rosalind “Roz” Raasch. Roz earned her bachelors degree in Business and Management from Alverno College. Roz brings a wealth of office skills to our clinic and we are glad to have her aboard!

STAFF RETURNS  Kim Atkinson returns to LFWC to help out as an office assistant in the area of billing. We are glad to have her back!
 
  August   PROMOTION For Tammy Grosczyk, M.A., L.P.C. Tammy was named Marital Wellness Director. Tammy has been instrumental in forming and working in our marital program from its inception.
  July   TRIATHLON Many staff and family members participated in this years Pewaukee Triathlon. We sported our Changeamind t-shirts to introduce the new not-for-profit endeavor that will be forthcoming with LFWC. Look for more news about this in the future.
AODA STATE CERTIFIED LFWC took the necessary steps to have our clinic certified with the State of Wisconsin to provide alcohol and drug treatment.  Along with this came a new title for Jackie Landers, L.C.S.W., C.S.A.C.  She is now also the AODA Supervisor at LFWC.
STAFF ADDITION LFWC is proud to announce the hiring of Sonya Trueblood, L.C.S.W.  We welcome Sonya and are now able to offer more hours for our adolescent clients.
MILWAUKEE OUTREACH Dr. Beth Johnson, joined the board of directors of the Milwaukee Outreach Center.  The TMOC provides life skills and job readiness training, work adjustment programs and family counseling services for unemployed and under-employed people struggling with issues relating to poverty to move them to independence and self-sufficiency.
April THINK MARRIAGE LFWC partners with THINK MARRIAGE as we offer classes for married and engaged couples. Please see more under our MARITAL PROGRAM.  Join us for Family Wellness Workshop on Sept. 27th 8:30-5:00. October DBT GROUP LFWC offers a specialized AODA/DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) program lead by Jackie Landers, LCSW, CSAC and Diana Bolmes, LCSW, CSAC.

  September   OPEN HOUSE Please join us for our open house on Friday September 14 between 12-3 P.M and on Saturday September 15 between 10-2 P.M.
  July   TRIATHLON Tammy Groszczyk, L.P.C and Beth Johnson, Psy.D participated in the July 15,2007 Pewaukee Triathlon, along with neighbor Louise Green. This was Tammy's first official running event!
July WE'RE GROWING AGAIN! LFWC is happy to announce the annex office suite to the south of the clinic, 800 mere square feet. This new addition will allow for the future growth of the staff and the enhancement of the marital program. This new space will also be utilized for group meeting and psycho-educational workshops.
April STAFF ADDITION LFWC is proud to announce the hiring of Jaya Bala to the office assistant position. Jaya's hire is especially important as she represents a growing success of the clinic. Jaya's role will now allow office coverage in the evening hours to address patient needs.
January STAFF ADDITION LFWC is proud to announce the hiring of Licensed Clinical Social Worker Jackie Landers. Jackie's hiring is a special addition to our goal of serving individuals who are impacted from the ill effects of substance abuse addictions. Jackie is experienced in this field as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Level III.

November STAFF ADDITION LFWC is proud to announce the hiring of Tyler Loomis. Tyler comes to us with a well respected professional service to teens, adults and couples. He has spent several years serving those struggling with sexual addictions and trauma.
September THE FISH RADIO AD debuted to households in the greater Southeastern Wisconsin area. Just tune to FM 105.3 and listen for our ad.
August DIRECTOR OF MEN’S WELLNESS LFWC is happy to announce the selection of therapist Victor Pittman to serve as the Director of Men’s Wellness. This role will support the clinic’s efforts in improving our outreach to the entire family.
June STAFF ADDITION LFWC is proud to announce the hiring of child specialist Dr. Danielle Sample. She comes to us with years of experience in working with troubled youth. 
LFWC ADDED TO ‘211’ COMMUNITY HELPLINE The ‘211’ helpline connects people in need to low cost services including housing, food, medical and mental health referrals. We are happy to be a part of this program and wish them the best as they continue to increase their impact within our local counties.
April WAMFT ANNUAL CONFERENCE Therapist Victor Pittman presented the topic of ‘Engaging Men In Therapy’ to 85 of his peers during the Wisconsin Association of Marriage and Family Therapist (WAMFT) 2006 Annual Conference held at the Country Spring Conference Center in Waukesha.
January STAFF ADDITION LFWC is proud to announce the hiring of Office Manager Fran Blend. Fran has years of professional experience and has given the office the needed TLC to move the clinic to the next stage of development.
 
2005  
October STAFF ADDITION LFWC is proud to announce the hiring of Certified Art Therapist Jill Butterfield. We are excited to have an art therapist on staff that uses her gifts with children, teens and adults.
March EMDR CERTIFICATION Congratulations to Dr. Beth Johnson and Tammy Groszczyk, LPC for completing the EMDR certification training. These certifications allow LFWC to further it’s support to patients with trauma exposure, or who have experienced past failed therapeutic interventions.
 
2004  
August PASTORAL & CHURCH LEADER OPEN HOUSE Local religious leaders in Waukesha County were invited to attend our first Open House. This marked our first efforts to reach out to leaders within our community. We received a positive response from those in attendance. 
June GRAND OPENING On June 1st Tower Behavioral Health relocated from Brookfield to Pewaukee’s Lakefront Park. The clinic was also renamed to Lakefront Wellness Center. The transition was successful for both providers and patients.
