Practice Philosophy
“It is to my understanding that health and wellness is a necessary means to obtain harmony and peace in a society. With that said, I believe it is our responsibility to live harmoniously with one another, so this society as well as future generations can emerge, prosper, and live peacefully. As an educator, nutritionist, and yoga instructor, I promote the holistic model of health when individuals integrate their body, mind, and spirit to function together cohesively. According to the holistic model of health, optimum health is achieved when a person is in a state of homeostasis, a physiological state of balance. Homeostasis occurs when a person experiences emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. Likewise, I believe prevention is the key to healthful living and a healthy life-style can positively influence a person’s health and wellness. My approach to maintaining or improving clients’ homeostasis and overall health is to educate them about good nutrition and engage them in the practice of yoga. As a result, their daily life will manifest a healthy spiritual state of being that will enhance the well-being of our society.”
